Terms and Conditions for Express Bag Service
1. Introduction These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the purchase and fulfillment of the Express-Bag Service ("Service") offered by SalamAir SAOC ("Airline"). By purchasing this Service, the passenger ("Passenger") agrees to comply with these Terms.
2. Service Description provides passengers with expedited handling and delivery of their checked baggage upon arrival at the destination airport. This service ensures that passengers' baggage receives priority treatment, allowing for quicker retrieval from baggage claims. The service is flexible regarding the number of checked bags as per the conditions of carriage; passengers can opt for this service regardless of the amount of baggage they check.
3. Eligibility
- This Service is available for booking for all passengers traveling with SalamAir who have purchased a ticket before check-in on a flight operated by SalamAir.
- Passengers may purchase this Service at the following points:
a. At the time of ticket booking.
b. Post booking via SalamAir's "Manage my Booking" tab.
c. At the airport prior to check-in.
4. Purchase and Payment
- The Service can be purchased during the booking process via the SalamAir website or mobile app or at the airport service desk.
- Payment for the Service is required at the time of purchase. Prices may vary based on the route, travel dates, and other factors. Prices will be as follows:
a. Purchase at the time of booking, OMR 1.9/- per passenger per flight.
b. Purchase post booking via the "Manage my Booking" tab, OMR 2.9/- per passenger per flight.
c. Purchase at the airport, OMR 3.9/- per passenger per flight.
5. Fulfillment
- The Express-Bag Service will prioritize expedited handling of checked baggage for Passengers who have purchased the Service. Bags will be delivered to the baggage claim area in priority order, subject to operational conditions.
- Passengers must check in their bags at the designated check-in counters at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled departure of their flight.
6. Limitations
- The Airline is not liable for baggage handling delays caused by circumstances beyond its control, including, but not limited to, weather conditions, operational disruptions, or security regulations.
- While the Airline will prioritize the handling of checked baggage for Passengers who have purchased the Express-Bag Service and aim to minimize wait times, it does not guarantee that checked baggage will arrive before other checked baggage in all circumstances.
7. Refunds and Cancellations: The Service is non-refundable once purchased. In the event of flight cancellations or changes initiated by the Airline, Passengers may be eligible for a credit towards future purchase of the Service, subject to the Airline's sole discretion and any applicable conditions.
8. Liability: SalamAir's liability is limited to the extent provided under the Airline's applicable laws and regulations. The Airline is not liable for any loss, damage, or delay of baggage in relation to the Express-Bag Service beyond its obligations under the standard Airline liability rules.
9. Changes to Terms: The Airline reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on the SalamAir website and will take effect immediately upon posting. Passengers are encouraged to review these Terms regularly.
10. Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Oman. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Omani courts.
